Who is the audience for this project
Mostly me, but perhaps I can show others some techniques on how to type better
Why is this project worthwhile?
Many of my teachers are making me type out my homework so I need to get better at typing
What do you expect to learn?
- re-learn the proper form for typing
- be fast and consistent
- hopefully regain my former average of 110 words per minute
- get more coordinated with my fingers
I just need a keyboard
What sort of equipment will you need and where will you get it
The school and my house have keyboards
What is my timeline for completing this project
This is a project that could likely go on forever but I hope to at least be able to do 85-95 words per minute
My tasks
There are quite a bit but right now im trash at typing. I use the one finger method so I need to practice way more
- finger form
- prioritizing consistency over speed
- trying online typing tests weekly to track improvement
- eventually make my own typing test
How will I present
I plan on displaying my new and improved typing speed. Perhaps in a typing match with two computers and showing off my speed
